1 Corinthians 7:25 Now, concerning what you wrote about unmarried people: I do not have a command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord's mercy is worthy of trust.
Paul wrote his letter to the Corinthians today declaring from the onset that they were not commanded of the Lord, but worth sharing by virtue of his status as one who was trustworthy. It provided details harnessed out of his personal experiences. Perhaps, we would weigh those words differently to ‘it is written’ or ‘thus says the Lord’, yet they are suitable references for our learning.
While running through the tabs of my study App, I found three statements in the quote for today that resonated with the text above:
“
Nothing is wasted.
Everything is an experience, Everything can teach us if we let it.”
The lessons that can be gleaned from many of life’s situations might surprise us. Through them, we could find out more about ourselves and about others. We could identify what values we cherish, the relationships we keep and how we like to be or not be treated.
Even the very things we consider painful, disappointing, betrayals and so forth, have learning points for us if we take the opportunity to find them. Thus, it is truly worth repeating:
Nothing is wasted.
Everything is an experience, Everything can teach us if we let it.”
