THE SMALL THINGS

247/365

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a small amount of yeast leavens the whole batch of dough?

The message renders the text above as follows ‘Yeast, too, is a “small thing,” but it works its way through a whole batch of bread dough pretty fast’ A little bit of something is thus often all it takes to disrupt the entire rhythm.

  • One brick in the wrong place can disturb the foundations of an entire edifice.
  • One wrong word can cause you to lose your head, but one word in the right ear can even stop a war.
  • One random act of kindness can win you a friend, but one callous word can cost you a destiny relationship.
  • One moment of impatience can get you into great trouble, but a bit of patience and you receive that which has been promised.
  • One small change sets the course for a massive transformation, and one simple decision can turn an entire life around: whether for better or for worse.

Just as a little yeast is enough to make a whole batch of dough rise, a small leak is equally all that is required to sink a massive ship.

Beloved, the small things in life have the capacity to make big impacts. Don’t ignore them!
