ESTABLISH YOUR IDENTITY
Matthew 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
“I know whose I am
I know who I am
I know what I am”
Whenever a person is established with all three knowings, the perceptions others wield about that does not hold a weighting strong enough to sway their known identity.
The people of Jesus’ day did not recognise who He was in their midst, but He himself did. Hence, we can consider this possibility ‘If what people thought about Jesus, if their skewed narrative of who He was the defining function of His ministry, then what would that have looked like?
A lack of knowledge of one’s identity in Christ is the primary reason for a loss of direction because there is a constant struggle to fit into whatever portfolio for which one seems to be accepted the most. Yet, it is who we are in God, that firm identity, which delineates our purpose and offers a clear path for our lives.
So beloved, make sure to know “who you are, whose you are and what you are, in Christ”
