DAY 313 OF 365 IN 2021

1 Corinthians  3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

As a tutor, the foundations of my students in any subject are  are important to me. Thus, when I receive a student with existing foundations, before putting any further building blocks: I fill in any gaps I find in the foundation because once a foundation to a building is laid, all one can do is build on it.

‘I laid the foundations and someone else is building upon it’. That then is a foundation that can be trusted, and in Paul’s case, the foundation was Jesus. He is the most solid of grounds and anything established on him as the basis is guaranteed to remain firm regardless of the rain, storms or wind.

A foundation then is thus important because on any barren land, the foundation determines what structures can be put up because once laid, it is a real hustle to amend it. Like a blank canvas or a plain piece of paper, you can paint whatever you are able to on a bare piece of land
Whatever plan then is decided at foundation, must often be followed through to completion.

Any deviation from it and one runs the risk of complete collapse later. So check the foundations you lay.
