DAY 196 OF 365 IN 2021

Exodus 3:19 But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him

On occasions, our advancement and progress into specific dimensions of life seem to be directly dependent on the decisions of men. As though without the approval of men, nothing should happen. God therefore steps into the picture to make a statement of intent to buttress these words: “The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; he guides it wherever he pleases (Proverbs 21:1)

God already knew the drill ‘Israel would remain captives until a force compelled the King in Egypt to send them out.’ There had to be an external nudge from somewhere – a mighty hand that could not be refuted. In many of the situations we face where it appears the obstacles are “men”, we need to don a new robe as children who have been made priests to God and legislate.

We ought to be the ones applying the external force with our unwavering incense of prayer to reach the heavens. To acknowledge that ‘Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.’ Beloved, regardless of what may stand our way as the apple of God’s eye, His mighty hand is present to nudge and redirect even the most hardened of hearts so His purposes for us can prevail.
