DAY 137 OF 365 IN 2021

Acts 19:2 And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
Chess is a game built on memorisation, analysis and recall. Thus, engines act as store houses for multiple games played across many decades hence can effectively predict what the most appropriate counter play is to a specific move by an opponent. However, there are also piece movements and patterns that have never been seen before, those become novelties and prediction goes out the window.
So every now and then, this happens and we have ‘a first time’. Therefore in spite of multiple years of experience and gathering of expertise, individuals encounter many some situations and to our very surprise say ‘I am seeing this for the first time’.
For such situations, nothing seemed to have prepared you for because there has been no simulation or archive from which to draw on, only a combination of the knowledge and skill set one possesses. Nov solutions must therefore be found.
The disciples who encountered Paul today, had never heard about the Holy Spirit, but they were considered disciples. So had Paul not reached them, there would always have been a deficit in their requisite knowledge. Simply put, the advantages that came with knowing the person of the Holy Spirit would have been missing from their journey.
As always, there are dimensions in God that we may not know about, and that does not mean we do not believe, it only suggests that we have not known all we can possess. For instance, if we never get to encounter God as healer, He may be our provider, but that dimension of His, which heals, could be absent from our walk because the dimension of God we emphasise, is what we experience.
