THE PLACE TO BE

DAY 126 OF 365 IN 2021

John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

Whenever a location is touted as ‘the place to be’, it is expected to be a location that satisfies a specific requirement or need. The place to be for good food is that restaurant or the place to be for good music is that programme. So today, we also reflect on the place to be to guarantee the reception of blessings and graces that accompanies our Christian journey.

We speak in this manner for there is a certainty that there are blessings and graces on the Christian walk. That is not  a topic for debate because there is evidence littered in the Word of God and all around us in creation. Even our very existence is testament of this.

However, the guarantee of those blessings are linked to the position of the recipient and their relation or  connection to the source of those blessings. Therefore, scripture presents the exact position from which to receive: “in Jesus”.

Remain faithful in my love, live within my love, make yourselves intimately at home in my love. That beloved, is the location, that is the place to be if we desire to arrive in the abundance and blessings promised – ‘abiding IN the love of God’
