Luke 10:24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Let me first expand on the list Jesus provided a bit more to include some practical perspectives. Many would have liked to:

  • see what you see,
  • hear what you hear,
  • do what you do,
  • experience the things you are experiencing,
  • nurture the relationships you have;

But they did not! Instead, they fell to you. Those came your way and neither is that an accident nor a fluke, it is part of a master plan.

Thus, why you have what you have, when you have it, why you can do what you do is because you can and another cannot. The information you gather or the knowledge that comes to you through your senses, have relevance in your tomorrow for there will come a time when only that specific knowhow will be relevant to the situation you face.

Beloved, there are some situations in life where only a particular information or experience will get you out of. Upon exposure to certain information, stimuli or experiences however, you might be tempted to think that they are perhaps more suited to the ears and eyes of another. Just so you know, God is aware of that “another” and yet brought them your way.

What people ‘wish’ to experience, hear or see are linked to personal desire and so may only be for short term gratification. God is however not obligated to fulfil everything we desire. Therefore, when God grants you exposure to specific scenarios and stimuli; it is His way of saying “that has a place in my grand plan for you, they will come in handy at the right time so pay close attention.”.
