THE SEASONS MUST CHANGE

Reference: Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

The average gestation period for a human female is about 40 weeks. In different circumstances, this might be shorter or slightly longer than the 40 weeks. However, bearing in mind this in mind, when the gestation period is exceeded beyond acceptable limits, an intervention is required. Clearly, there is therefore a cut-off period beyond which labour has to be induced, often in an attempt to preserve the lives of both mother and child.

Today’s message could not have been any clearer: “there is a time for everything”. Life has to be made up of transitions and changing seasons because that is the natural order. Infants grow to become adults, and adults become  even older- no person remains at the same stage eternally. Therefore, if you find yourself stuck only in a single season of life, that is your red flag that there is an anomaly- an intervention is necessary.

Beloved, you have to remain in transition and the seasons must change because there is a time for everything. If your seasons are not changing, that is your indication to take up arms and do some “battling”: not with guns and knives, but on your knees with your hands lifted up. Don’t remain idle.
