A CALL TO PRAYER

Thursday: March 19, 2020

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Whenever we pray, we do so bearing in mind that the one to whom prayer is addressed is able and willing to hear our cry. Thus, today I also invite you to add these categories to your personal prayer list whenever you approach the throne of grace.

For Revelation

‘Knowledge is not manufactured, it is discovered and its author, is the one who reveals them’. As scientists and like-minded people strive in their search for a vaccine to combat this growing pandemic, let us pray for divine revelation. Not Eureka moments that emerge from trial and error, but information that is revealed specifically in context. We pray that spiritually-accurate and situation-specific Revelations will be granted unto men from the corridors of Elohim.

For Restoration

Restoration is brought about after a loss and in this times, many things will likely be lost – lives, livelihoods, relationships and connections. Dare I say, many of things we treasure the most will take some kind of hit. But like Job, we know our God is able to restore all that has been lost in multiples. Therefore, as we get on our knees, let us ask the God who restored even dry bones to life to also make our restoration a testimony.

If there are men and women to pray, there is a God even more willing to answer.
