2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Even though money is offered for services, it is difficult to quantify if there has been equity in an transaction usually because short and long term predictors of this can. In today’s text, we see the clearest example of what we could call a beautiful and perfect exchange.
When heaven and earth kissed, we became the biggest beneficiaries,
When Christ said yes to God, God said yes to us too,
When Christ accepted our poverty, we attained His immeasurable wealth,
When He chose to bear our sins on the cross, we attained true righteousness
When He lay down His life, we gained life in abundance
When He became one like us, He made us one with Him.
We lost nothing, but have gained everything through the sacrifice of the lamb of God. And that, is the perfect exchange.
