STRATEGIC POSITIONING

Saturday: January 11, 2020

John 3:23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

A little bit of history shows that a multitude of factors influenced the final settling ground of many different cultures. Amongst them: fertile ground for planting, clean drinking water and a terrain that offers some kind of protection. While many discoveries may have been by chance, settling down was a choice that had to be made.

So it should be no surprise that John chooses to baptize in Aenon because there was clear abundance of the one thing he would always need for his role: water. Thus, we could say his positioning was strategic to make the most of what was available. Such positioning should also be our trademark.

The believer has access to inside information that should enable us to be positioned intentionally and strategically, not accidentally. As evident in the life of Jesus, even from before his birth, each change of location was for a strategic reason whether protection, proclamation or to be present when He was most needed.

I pray that becomes your lot- that you will be strategically positioned at all times in the will of God where abundance of all you need is present.
