I have had the opportunity to receive answers to the question ‘what will be the first thing you do when you leave hospital? and I am still fascinated by the kind of responses I have received. Answers like: ‘I want a cold shower, a cup of tea in my favorite mug and to sit in my sofa watching TV’ Not that these cannot be provided in hospital, only that the feel is significantly different.

So if I dared to ask, would you be bold enough to answer? If I asked you what things mattered to you, would you give an honest answer or sing out the answer every one expects to hear from you? It may sound surprising, but we will realise how much the little things in life take on bigger meanings when we lose them or miss out on them for a long duration of time.

Sweetheart, big things may actually suggest big breaks, but finding joy in the little things around us and in our lives have even deeper impacts. Look around you for such and you might be surprised at the joy you could experience.
