Reference text: Acts 16:1-10

Acts 16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

Just for a moment, try to imagine a world where the word ‘NO’, is non-existent: in a time interval within which the only answers we get to every request is ‘YES’. Many will think this a good thing because it implies everyone getting what they want, all the time
However, that kind of world could become the most dangerous and hostile of environments.

Paul and Timothy were doing great in the spread of the Gospel, yet, when they reached a specific location, they were clearly told to skip. That was them receiving a NO from God and having a door remain shut before their very eyes. That is a big deal for some of us because we do not understand why God will choose to say NO to us- it does not appear to make any sense that God refuses to allow us entry into specific doors.

We therefore toss our hands about and like the typical children we are, throw tantrums in our bid to get what we have been refused, yet God maintains his stance. Sweetheart, if there is something I have learnt over the years about the responses of God, whenever His response is NO, it implies a number of things including:
1. what you want to do or possess, is not yours to do or to have.
2. A yes from Him today, will be dangerous to your tomorrow with Him
3. That door remaining shut before you, will keep you alive.

That list is not exhaustive, but as much as God remains a father ready to give us whatever we ask for, He is also very much interested in our welfare. Hence, if His ‘NO’ is for our best, then that will be his answer.

Remember # your tantrums will not cause God to just say YES to everything you ask for.
