Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Words are always spoken for a definite purpose: to exhort, make others laugh, to express emotions , put down others among a multitude of other reasons. In many ways, until they accomplish what they were spoken out for, their effects seem to linger on just as Isaiah rightly associates this ability with the word of God.
Some people have particular mindsets and attitudes which can be traced back to words that were spoken to them ages ago: ‘you can do it’,’everything is your fault’, ‘ you are an accident’,’ I am blessed to have you as my child’ or ‘you will never amount to anything’. These are varying statements spoken out with particular intent and believe me- those intentions will push their way throughout the life of it’s hearers until they accomplish their purpose or new words are heard.
The lives of some people are currently stuck in replay because they are yet to overcome some things they have heard hence a greater need to not just rattle anything. If God’s words will not return to Him void, then it means they have life- a life that will push on until its purpose is established.
Regardless of what you have been exposed to as a person, the word of God is able to wipe out and replace every stronghold that is set on making sure that what God has spoken concerning you is not manifested. Keep feasting on His word and allow it to transform your life.
Remember # when God’s word saturates your being, you can be assured of glorious living.
