GOD TAKES HIS TIME BEFORE GIVING

Deuteronomy 26:19 that He will set you high in praise and name and honor above all the nations He has made, and that you will be a holy people to the LORD your God, as He has promised.

Some people think that God is insecure, and that He holds His children back from attaining significant advances. In fact, some carry a notion that in the mind of God, being calm, quite, unheard and unseen is the way. But here is the deal breaker: God also likes loud.

In the message to Israel today, the intention was to “set them high above all nation He has made, in praise, in name(fame), and in honor.” Those are things that cannot be hidden – fame will set you before the eyes of the whole world, and with that comes praise and honour. These are things God can cause to happen in a flash, in the twinkling of an eyes, and it costs him nothing.

Joseph became prime mister in one moment, Esther became queen in a moment, Mordecai was honored in a moment, David killed Goliath in a moment – do you picture the trend? These men and women gained fame, honour and high praise. But again, there is another underlying theme-neither of them just appeared on the scene, they had been cooked behind the scenes.

Likewise, Israel did not just appear, they had been through slavery in Egypt and spent four decades in the wilderness. Journeys like that are what God uses to forge those He intends to announce to the world. Fame, praise and honour have a way of corrupting, so they can become burdens instead of blessings when they are given to unprepared vessels. Stay learning  in the school of the Spirit.
