IDENTIFY THE BAITS THAT LURE YOU

James 1:14 AMP But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion)

Every man is tempted by specific desires, and these are so specific that until they appear, you might be tempted to think some people have zero appetites. The only reason it seems so is because the desires that resonate with their personal frequencies have not arrived yet.

There are some people you cannot entice with certain temptations because there is simply no desire in them. You cannot tempt a drunk by offering a bowl of soup, and neither will you entice a thief with the promise of liquor. The interests and desires of both are different. Yet, if you offer the drunk unlimited access to liquor, and the thief access to a good bounty, you might be surprised at how resourceful the same pair might become and the extent they may be willing to go.

Anyone who is tempted, is lured and baited – the only reason the bait works is if the prey has genuine interest in the bait. So don’t be deceived into thinking that you are standing firm when you deem yourself immune to the temptations that caused others to stumble and fall. It’s probably because the right bait has not been placed on the hook swinging in front of you.
