THE LAMB OF GOD

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

1. Experience the Lamb
John presented Jesus as the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He came as the perfect sacrifice, through whose death and resurrection, we receive the forgiveness of sin and acceptance with God. Your first and most important encounter therefore, is to experience the lamb of God, and the way to do so is captured in Romans 10:8 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

2. Live like the lamb
This follows on from the first experience, where the subsequent life that follows, is patterned after the lamb. This is a call to holy living, where there is a rich capture and expression of the fruits of the spirit, evidence of the out working of the Holy spirit in your life.

3. Witness of the lamb
This is where you become a signpost to Jesus, that in and through your life, your audience see his banner ever lifted up. That through tangible, positive impact on societal transformation and well being, the lam of God is revealed and glorified.

So today, we are invited to a three fold assignment: “experience the lamb, live like the lamb and witness of the lamb”.
