THIS IS THE DOING OF THE LORD

REFERENCE TEXT: Isaiah 41:13-20

When God is doing any thing, He does them to send a message. The strategy described by Isaiah was one that had the intention of spiking interest and drawing attention. They were a combination of unusual events: pools of water in wilderness, springs in the dessert, or trees in the wilderness that did not belong.

The end goal was this: “so that all may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this and the Holy One of Israel has created it.”(Isaiah 41:20)

In other words, God wanted to make noise. There are times when God makes a statement through his actions, such loud statements that no man can lay claims to the outcome. Those outcomes and processes simply fall outside the scope of the mind of any man to conceive unless they are inspired.

This is the underlying trait evident in every life under God’s influence: a proportion of results and outcomes that defy human reasoning and for which the individual has no clear explanation for. When the jigsaw is completed but you know you didn’t have all the pieces, that is when God has made a statement move.
