AS THE LORD SPEAKS

Isaiah 40:2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and cry to her that her warfare is ended,
that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

The initiator of the conversation we read in Isaiah is God Himself, and it came at a time when his people needed lifting. Today’s word is therefore indeed a word of comfort that has come for the one who can reach out to lay hold of it even as it has proceeded from the mouth of the Lord.

I believe this same word today comes for anyone who is in battle-fighting forces and systems intent on limiting their advance. This is a charge to the one who is at their wits end, having persevered in battle for so long. If only you will capture the light even as it shoots out, the Word for you today which is to be relayed to you according to Isaiah 40:2 is that “your warfare has ended”.

If you are wondering on what basis, or on what grounds? It is because the Monarch of the universe said so. The one to whom all power belongs, with the capacity and ability to do as He has said.
