WHO HAS BEEN YOUR TEACHER?

Genesis 3:9-10 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

What new things have you heard and who has become your teacher? What new information have you come into such that the presence of God, the same voice to knew, is now triggering a different response from you? What encounters with men and with life have you had to so alter your perspective about God and about men for the worse?

Beloved, not everyone with a stage and a microphone has something helpful to say. Some speak only from their pain, while others speak their experiences – both may sound like wisdom, but fail the litmus test of word compliance. For our part, we sadly end up swallowing line, hook and sinker and unconsciously, our mindsets are transformed into what we did not envision. With time, we may become afraid, spiteful, unforgiving, suspicious and drift further away.

Instead of embracing God, like Adam, we rather hide from him. Instead of learning to walk in partnership with men, we see everyone as a threat. We enter therefore into a state of constant restlessness and apprehension because we have allowed unfiltered strongholds into the spheres of our mind.

Beloved, it is worth taking a moment to assess these two questions:
1. What do I believe about God
2. What do I believe about men?

Your aim is to test if the word of God supports those beliefs you hold. If not, you may be consuming man made fables believing that it is wisdom. You will need to edit out some things and throw others away.
