Luke 20:29-32 Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died without children. And the second and the third took her, and likewise all seven left no children and died. Afterward the woman also died.
What kind of feeling does one have waiting for a known outcome that is not worth celebrating? I begin to wonder whatĀ would have been going through the minds of the brothers from the third. To stand back watching brother after brother go through the same predicament in a predictable sequence: ‘marriage to the same woman, no children and then death’. The level of anxiety and fear would have been paralyzing.
It was almost as though they were waiting to be part of the statistic. Beloved, it is not every situation in life you stand by waiting for outcomes to happen, especially when they are a negative outcome. Patterns are intended to provide a sense of predictability. You therefore ought to recognise them with the intention to interrupt them if negative or duplicate them if positive.
Whenever you realise a series of unfavorable outcomes, don’t just wait for your turn, do something different. It is folly to do nothing but expect results to be different.
