YOUR FRUITS WILL TELL

Ezekiel 47:12 Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.”

Have you looked at a person’s life and thought “why do you always appear to have something to celebrate?” why is the trajectory of your life always up and up? Why is there expectation of good things from your camp each time?

The trees Ezekiel describes as located on the banks of the river had two key qualities: their leaves were ever green and they had the assurance of fruits monthly. That frequency is unusual as not many trees have fruits to show on a monthly basis. The reason attributed to this level of fruitfulness was “the water for them flows from the sanctuary”.

In a language we can understand, if we were those trees, then the source of ‘water’ powering us ought to be flowing from God. It is in Him we move and live and have our being.

Whenever fruits are missing from a tree, attention turns to the roots. This is because every tree with fruits to show has hidden roots reaching into depths of soil  for Anchorage and supply. How deep then are you anchored in God? How much of the water flowing from the sanctuary is reaching your roots? You may think it doesn’t matter, but from the moment we forget that God is the source, our potential for fruitbearing begins to diminish and the quality of fruits we bear will highlight a gross deficit.
