ALL THINGS ACCOUNTED FOR

Reference text: Luke 12:1-7

Luke 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

I recall in high school the frequency of roll calls, sometimes even at odd times. The intention behind them was to review the headcount of students to ensure that everyone was accounted for. Any missing student sparked concerns and queries given that the school was accountable for their wellbeing during term time.

Today, the message from the Word of God provides a worthwhile reassurance: “Even the hairs of your head are all accounted for”. The reasoning is the same as above: “because God is responsible for you”. This should provide us with the confidence to lean on God’s providence.

If the very hairs of your head then are accounted for, what else is not covered? Your life? Family? Career? Well being? Your going out and coming in? In the roll call of the things that concern you, God has accounted for all things. So beloved, march on in confidence.
