TAKING OPPORTUNITIES

Reference text: Luke 10:13-16

Jesus stands speaking to two cities: Chorazin and Bethsaida comparing them with two others, Tyre and Sidon. He  does not hold back in expressing his disappointment because He suggested that the opportunity given to the first two   had been underutilized by them.

The same opportunity in the hands of two different people will provide different outcomes depending on the manner in which that opportunity is handled: their mindset, tnot every open door is an invitation for entry because even the prison has doors’.heir timing, or their readiness to embrace the opportunity. The outcomes of opportunities is thus dependent on the manner in which they are executed

We therefore ought to see beyond the opportunities themselves because many are only the beginning. Opportunities act as doors that usher us towards a cascade of events that can either pull us into further alignment with God or steer us further out of his will.

You are to be prepared for opportunities, and rightly so. But bear in mind that

‘not every open door is an invitation for entry because even the prison has doors’.
