THIS IS THE WORLD OF MEN

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

The words of Jesus’ were his perception about Nathaniel, one arising from a knowledge that may have gone beyond just literal knowledge. What we note is that this perception was a good one. Don’t let anyone deceive you, this is the world of men. In that world, regardless of how well you live your life, not everyone will have a good perception of you and that will be for very many reasons.

However, it is also equally important that  ‘everyone does not have a negative perception about you’. You can walk through life with the the mantra “I live to please no one”, and that is true, God should be the focus. Yet, living with only that skewed mindset will come at a cost.

Yes, ‘there will be a price to pay’ because again, this is the world of men. Many of the things you expect to receive from God will not literally come from Him, it will be routed through the hands of men. So don’t be deceived, it matters how you are perceived by other men. It affects your connections, contacts and very likely, the extent to which you will rise through life and destiny.

“The heavens are the heavens of the LORD; But the earth He has given to the sons of men”(Psalm 115:16).

Don’t live thinking the perceptions men have about you don’t matter, you may pay a heavy price.
