BE STRONG

Haggai 2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

It is interesting how one word taken as it’s root could have so many tributaries. The translation of “be strong” takes us on such a journey. It is interesting that it is repeated three times in one verse, each time to highlight emphasis. God had reason for doing so because the task at hand required men who would ‘be strong’ in all its facets: ‘ready to seize, be strong, obstinate, to bind, restrain, and conquer’

You cannot be timid all the time. Stay low, but by all means not weak.
Be ready to:
Seize opportunities,
Stay stubborn so as to remain in God’s camp despite the trials,
Bind and restrain the advances of enemy forces,
Conquer systems and structures that fight the purposes of GOD.

Beloved, be strong because there are

  • Battles to be won
  • Giants to be slain
  • Victories to be secured
  • Mountains to climb
  • Journeys to begin
  • Systems to overthrow
  • Platforms to influence and
  • Lives to change.
