CREATED FOR HIM

Colossians  1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Whenever I hear the words “I will do whatever I want” I find it fascinating because that was never in the blueprint for anyone. No one was made for themselves, at least not according to the word of God.

The letter to the colossians read today states all things were created by, through and for Christ. That includes man. The only one who can truly do ‘whatever they want’ is one in rebellion. Otherwise, for many of us, the underlying message in case you’ve forgotten is ‘”

it has never been about you, because you were never created for yourself
