YOUR GIFTS ARE FOR HIM

Luke 5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

Jesus’ remarks to the two disciples were
Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch. How? Using the fishing nets and the fishing skills they already knew. While we may pick up new skillsets and knowledge on our walk with God, some of what we already have remain useful in His work.

There is a reason for all the knowledge, experiences, gifts and skills: they are tools fit for the master’s work. Your speaking artistry, the writing mastery, the strong memory, the intelligence, sense of humor, good with your hands, or fast on your feet.
God does not always demand a reset from us, sometimes all He does is to repurpose the skills we already have.

There is nothing you have that does not remain useful, they may only have been applied in the wrong hands. Let God guide the skills you possess, and watch them make impact and bear fruits.
