ENFORCE YOUR VICTORY

Jeremiah 1:19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Warfare is a period where opposition engage in a battle of wit, strategy and tactics, to get the better of an opponent. In many wars, therefore, the goal is to obtain victory, often from an initial position of disadvantage or equity. We see  a different approach, often one of pride and arrogance when an opponent starts from a position of advantage. They are tempted to believe the battle is already over.

It should not be so with the believer. As we read today letter, the Christian does not fight from a place of disadvantage nor equity, our battles begin always from. A place of advantage, that place called ‘far above’ and ‘seated with Christ in Heavenly places’. Therefore, we begin every battle “from victory”. That should be a position, a consciousness and a state of mind.

However, do not be deceived because although your starting position is from a privileged point, your opponent is a rebellious one. One who operates as though the playing field was level and equity exists. In fact, there are even times when it appears the tables have turned.

Knowing our starting point alone is not sufficient, we are required to enforce that position. It is the only way to live victorious. If you don’t enforce and acknowledge your victory in Christ, the story that may best describe you is “I have seen an evil under the sun… slaves riding on horses and princes walking like slaves on the land (Ecc 10:7). I pray that does not become your story. Beloved, enforce your victory in Christ.
