Genesis 45:5 And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life
The story of Joseph and how he found himself in Egypt is a mystery. In fact, what seemed like a sale fueled by anger and greed, was actually the capsule and strategy through which God sent a saviour ahead of his people to preserve them.
This kind of event does not make sense. Even the mind that is able to think hundreds of moves ahead will be incapable of coming up with such a strategy. It is not human, hence Paul’s description as “the hidden wisdom of God”
While men think they are inflicting pain, God is building resilience; where they thought they were planting mockery, God was building patience; where isolation seemed to abound, God was building intimacy and where there was lack, He was developing dependence on him.
Beloved, there are set outcomes we cannot predict, not within the scope of our limited wisdom as men. Far above what we can think or say, well beyond our thoughts and our ways are the strategies of God. We will never be in a place to understand them all and only after they have achieved their end goal, do we look back to appreciate the entire journey and gain some clarity of the various twists and turns.
God fills gaps in your life that won’t make sense to you because if it all made sense, you will explain them yourself.
