YOU ARE AT THE CENTRE

God is not a user of men, instead, He opts for willing partners. The things He demands of us, are not for Him because they can neither add to, nor subtract from His being. He is self-sustaining. So those things which are required of us and that seem burdensome remain so only because we have not truly come to appreciate their place.

Therefore, even though it appears that a load is given to us to bear in the form of obeying commandments, or adhering to a strict set of rules, the end goal, is not our ability to bear the load, but to cause us to arrive at the point where we acknowledge that “God has us in mind”.

Note Jesus’ words: ‘These things I have spoken to you that my joy be in you, and your joy may be full (John 15:11). So you realise, it is about you. Beloved, God is not a “user” of men, his demands from you are tailored so that you benefit from them. In short, there is always something in it for you.
