Reference: Deuteronomy 30:15-20
Whenever we encounter a challenging situation and find ourselves unable to unravel it, it is often a question of knowledge. In other words, the specific strategies required for navigating are not known. It is only upon their discovery and application, can progress be made.
In speaking to Israel, Moses presented to them a strategy that ensured that would guarantee that they lived, multiplied, remained blessed by God and took possession of the land into which they were entering. That strategy was captured in Deuteronomy 30:16 under three tenets:
1. Love the Lord your God – authentically, honestly, passionately, reverently, and sacrificially.
2. Walk in His ways
3. Keep His commandments, statutes and judements
His ways may not be always clear to us, but they have been proven and tested across many generations. His commandments may seem limiting, but they are not burdensome, and they are intended to keep us. This strategy is thus one we can follow, and in doing so, the rewards are unveiled.
