WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL REPORT?

You can build your life on two platforms: hearsay or the alternative, personal and experiential conviction. The former will ensure that you thrive, but only to an extent because you hang solely on the story and testimonies of others. In fact, that is meant to be an entry point because hearing is intended to inspire belief and birth conviction.

In the Gospel, Jesus appears not to have heard how others described him, rather pushing for the Apostles to describe him in their own words: “who do you say that I am ?” (Mt 16:15)

He pushed for their opinion beyond hearsay because if anyone stays solely in the realm of hearsay, they are likely to be swayed by many winds of change since the stories of men will not be the same. You can simply not have “ALL MEN’ as your template. That strategy is doomed to fail.

Individuals have their own opinions about God and other men. So beyond what others have said, whether about God or about men, what do you say? What is your personal report, conviction or resolution? That is what will stand the test of time, not hearsay.
