SUCH LOVE

1 John  4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

We are often motivated to live right, pursuinf a life of honour to God that brings pleasure  to him. We do so to show our love for Him. But it looks like we find ourselves in a battle with love Himself. It is not that we have loved God, but that He loved us.

It might take a while for this to sink in, but the reality of this truth ushers you into a unique dimension of relationship  one where you get to encounter God in the office of father”. As a father, he will run to meet you down the road and throw his arms all around you. His love will wrap you in a warm embrace, embracing all your Fears, and swallowing up your weaknesses.

Beloved, we are really never going to be in a place to outperform God in love-that is his name. We can only ever do so much, but the best place to stand is in that place where we can receive the love proceeding from the father. I pray you find such love;

such love, pure as the whitest snow,
such love, paying the debt we owe.
such love, stilling our restlessness,
such love, filling our emptiness,
