CONTINUITY AFTER DISPLACEMENT

Anytime I read the genealogy of Jesus, my mind goes to the different people, their histories, how and why they made their way unto that list. In that list, we encounter men and women of different status, and influence whose names are captured. But reading again today, I noticed one clause hidden within the list:

And after the deportation to Babylon (Matthew 1:12a)

This marked an era where there was a displacement from their own land. A time that seemed to suggest an abrupt end to the generations that would follow. Yet, immediately after this statement, future generations followed

Here is the message “The process to arriving at results and set destinations will not may always be smooth and straightforward. Bumps, slips, and hiccups may occur along the way. Such disruptions become a test of resolve, character and a gauge of commitment. It remains our decision to press ahead.

Remember #” in life, displacements may cause brief disruptions, but don’t let them cause discontinuity.”
