WHY GOD ‘MAKES MEN’

Job made a remarks that causes us to question the outcome of certain things when He tells God ‘I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted (Job 42:2). Why then do things not happen as perfectly as God is able to? Why do things fail? Why do some of the things that God wants to do never see the light of day if none can thwart His purposes?

There are some moments when the sovereignty of God goes to work, and He overrides all things. However, on many occasions, God uses men to fulfil His purposes here on earth. We become his hands, and his feet.

Here is the crux of the matter: a perfect God has to work with imperfect vessels. Thus, all the imperfections inherent in the vessels used, could become the very things that frustrate the purposes of God. This is why God let’s men sit in the school of the spirit for what may seem a long time. It is to build in them character and virtue, to a degree that secures alignment with who He is. It is to subject them to the refiners fire to purge any tendencies that could hinder the purposes of God.
