NO CHOICE EVER STANDS ALONE

Luke 10:16 Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me

One would have thought that the choice here was to refuse to listen to Jesus, a personal choice anyone seemed entitled to make. However, nested in that choice was also the rejections of Him, and the one who sent Him. Whoever therefore makes the first choice, whether consciously or not, makes other choices and even consequences they may not see to be part of their choice.

Perhaps, you may not have considered choices in this manner, but take a brief moment to think about any one decision xyou have made. It could be a choice as simple as ‘the time you wake up on a particular day’, then attempt to map out the many implications, consequences and other choices that had to be made to complement that initial choice.

Beloved, no choice is ever really a single choice, rather, every choice is followed by other choices, implications and consequences. Every choice is like a small turn of the rudder of a ship, it’s future trajectory is impacted however small the turn.
