Reference text: Matthew 22:1-14

Isaiah 41:21 is the verse that came to mind while reading today’s parable ‘Present your case,” says the LORD. “Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob”. The king had prepared a feast, and invited guests to attend. After failing to show up, he sent his servants to remind them of the reasons to attend:
Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”(Matthew 22:4)

Despite this, some ignored the message to other personal matters. Here is the lesson: regardless of what you seek from others, individuals have their ‘businesses’ to attend to, often with the same sense of urgency as you. It is a big deal therefore, for them anyone to leave their matters to attend to yours. Beyond the reason of a prepared feast, what other strong ‘reasons’ will motivate a response from God or men to your cause?

Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment? ” And he was speechless (vs 12)
Seeing as there seemed to be an open door policy on the day due to preceding events, this man in question could have been favored to enter the wedding hall. However, when the requirement to be present, which was the right apparel was required, he was found wanting.

Favour and relationships may gain you entry into some doors, say employment. However, beyond the point of entry, it is competency and value that will be required to keep you where you are.

What you need to enter a door therefore, may not be what  keeps you in the room. Start thinking and growing, lest you are kicked out.
