Rejection is often characterized under ‘failures’- which is defined as being unsuccessful at achieving a set goal. Across many endeavors therefore, there is always a case for a track record of fails to provide a story to buttress any successes. The disciples had been sent with the message of the Gospel, being warned ahead of time that not all will receive the message. Thus, rejection was a real possibility.

Many are stuck where they are, unable to make a move or advance because of the weight of past failures and rejection. The truth however is whether it was in a business, in relationships, in management, or in completing a given task; your humanity and the possession of free will by others always presents an inherent possibility of not succeeding. This should however not place a pause on your advance

The disciples were charged not to depart carrying the weight of failure with them, but to dust themselves off, and start again because if one is not careful, the weight of past failures can hinder any further forward motion. Therefore, remember the protocol in dealing with failure: ‘leave, shake the dust off your feet, and go again.
