FINDING WHAT IT IS WE ARE TO DO

Imagine giving a builder the housing plans from an architect only to realise that the entire building has been put up without a single component of the plan being taken into account? This is likely to be met with anger. This was the story of Israel with God  when God reached out to Hosea in these words:

They set up kings, but not from Me [therefore without My blessing]; They have appointed princes, but I did not know it (Hosea 8:4a).

There is a template for our lives, a blue print that maps out God’s intentions for us. We read in Hebrews 10:7: Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—To do Your will, O God.’

You can live your entire life outside the scope of will of God for you, and you can live your entire life for yourself. It is even possible for one to even live their whole life in what looks like victory and abundance, yet have no approval from God.

Whenever we miss out on what it is that we are to do, the after effects are felt by many, not just ourselves. The agenda of God is impacted, and so are the destinies of those linked to our assignments.
