CAN YOU SEE IT?

Before being taken up into heaven, these were the final recorded words of Elijah spoken to Elisha: “

You have requested a difficult thing,” said Elijah. “Nevertheless, if you see me as I am taken from you, it will be yours. But if not, then it will not be" (2 KING'S 2:10) ”

Thus between Elisha receiving what He desired was one thing, not the difficulty of the request, but that his eyes should see Elijah being taken up. The very moment that criteria was fulfilled, he walked back to the Jordan and also parted the waters in a like manner.

There is something peculiar about the sense of sight, especially when it comes to receiving things. Whether it is with the spiritual, mental or physical eyes, there has to be an acknowledgement of seeing to transport realities. When God spoke to Abraham, the conditions were no different:
“I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession” (Genesis 13:15).

Thus, the range of his inheritance was the extent of his sight, be it what he could physically see or even the dimensions beyond captured in his imagination.

So you, that which you are striving for, can you see it?
