ONE STEP FROM DANGER

DAY 140/366

Acts 23:6-7 Now when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.” As soon as he had said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.

Among the many graces an individual could receive and develop, a sense of perception or discernment is one that should sit as an important one. This describes the ability to become aware or recognise things, whether through divine leading, physical senses, intellect, or experience. All these natural faculties are available, in addition to the supernatural  because when sharpened, every sensory ability can be honed advantageously.

We read about Paul today who after perceiving or discerning the audience at his trial, only needed two sentences to escape the actual trial. In fact, he had to be taken way from the ensuing fight. A keen sense of perception will always save you from battles, it will save you from losses, grant you access to places unimagined, save you from disappointment and betrayal, and even bring you into the company of men you may not have thought about.

Beloved, you ought to be able to discern seasons, situations, opportunities, and men. Otherwise, you are only but one step away from danger.
