DAY 125/366

Acts 18:10 For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.”
When God made the promise above with an assurance that ‘many in the city belong to Him’, Paul would have been right to say I am still in the process of proclaiming this message, many are yet to believe, so how do you have many even in this city? However, such questions arise because he would have been counting men not in the same way as God does.
While Paul would have been looking only at those who believe the message, God was counting even those who do not. For even the heart of the king rests in the hands of God, and like a river, he directs it’s path however he pleases. That was what happened with Gallio the proconsul, when he threw out the charge brought against Paul. That was one of the many who belonged to Go in the city.
Whenever we receive a promise from God whose execution rests in the hands of men, you can be rest assured that the pool of men available to God are far beyond what you might perceive. Those God uses in certain times and seasons, may not necessarily be believers or Christians, they may not be in your close circle or even known to you. They could be custodians, gatekeepers and men of influence whom you may never meet in person.
Yet, when God sets things in motion, all these men, strategically placed, will begin to move on your account. Beloved, God has men. I pray you are one of those He can call on when the need arises.
