THE SCHOOL OF RIGHT PROCESS

Reference text: John 10:1-10

Any individual who knows a bit of arithmetic would have come to realize that there is often more than one way to arrive at the answer to any problem. This is particularly true with mathematical concepts. However, there are instances when questions will specify what approaches should be applied and in those cases, only that way to the answer is deemed valid.

An example question could be ‘solve the simultaneous equation using the method of substitution’. Bearing in mind that even though solutions to simultaneous equations can be found using graphs, through elimination, systems of equations, or even matrices, all these approaches become ‘illegal’ in this context because of the specifity of the question.

That is the image we ought to perceive when Jesus spoke these words’

“I assure you: Anyone who doesn’t enter the sheep pen by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber."(John 10:1)

There are certain results in life which are not valid until they are achieved through the” school of right process”. Even though you may attain with evidence to show for it, like ‘gaining access to the sheep’ as one hasn’t gone through the school of right process, obtaining them by any other means makes you a product of premature arrival. Because once you skip process, you will have missed out on the acquisition of other tools required to sustain and maintain those results.

It may appear slow to wait for the gatekeeper to open the door to you because the walls into the sheep pen may be low enough to jump over. But wait patiently for the door to open, because walking through it is a required process and a test of your character.
