DAY 103/366
Reference text: Acts 8:1-8

In our text today, first there was a persecution, and this persecution led to a scattering of the church. However, what stands out today is the response of those who had been scattered abroad “they went about preaching the word”.
They had reason to be angry about the current state of affairs because through no fault of theirs, they had been transposed from their point of planting. But instead of responding with complaints and moanings, they went on proclaiming the word.
Whenever we find ourselves in uncomfortable territory, terrains that are unfriendly and things do not work out the way we envisioned them, we can become angry and resentful. Not only towards men, but even towards God and thus be tempted to down our tools. The church today inspires us to dust ourselves off and keep going. There is too much work to be done in life and destiny to allow every ‘discomfort’ impede our forward motion.
“Remember # ” For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,”(2 Cor 4:7)
