WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

DAY 99/365

John 6:5-6 When Jesus looked out and saw that a large crowd had arrived, he said to Philip, “Where can we buy bread to feed these people?” He said this to stretch Philip’s faith. He already knew what he was going to do.(MSG)

When you find out that the person who asked a question already had an answer in mind, you may get offended and wonder why they opted ask for your opinion knowing that they have an answer. In some cases, this cross check could be used as a basis to verify if indeed two people are on the same page regarding a particular matter.

Even in the place of ‘I surrender it all to you’ and ‘my sufficiency is of God’, God comes to prove us with questions like the one Philip was asked ‘where can we buy bread to feed these people’? In our own context, ‘what can we do about this matter’. Note the use of “WE” – Jesus did not take himself out of the matter, but rather inquired what their partnership could achieve.

Beloved, from the moment God gave us a will and the opportunity to choose, He shared the responsibility. There is therefore “His part and our part”. He will always do his part, but our part has to fulfilled in order for manifestation to happen. It’s not just what will God do about it, or what you will do about it, it’s what ‘God working with and through you can make happen.’
