WHAT LANGUAGE DO YOU SPEAK?

DAY 98/365

John 3:30 The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

Your speaking dialect, accent, mannerisms, content, are an expression first of where you come from and what you have been exposed to. Language is therefore a primary indicator of origin. There is however potential for someone who looks a certain way to speak an entirely different language. This is relevant because because  the question of ,’language based on origin’ lies at the heart of today’s discourse.

Hence, we have two languages presented: one from. Above and one that is earthly. Such that we read that ‘he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth, and talks the language of earth [his words are from an earthly standpoint]. This is where limitations become evident because man is not just a creature for the earth, but also has a heavenly position.

It takes recognition that beyond the earthly, we are ‘also from above’, and so have seats together with Christ in heavenly places which we have to occupy. We have to consciously make this transition in order to reign because there are some situations that will rule over you until you rise to sit with Christ above all. It is only from that seat you will have enough stature to address such matters.

If you listen to any man long enough, you can discern the state of their heart, the depths of their thinking and the drive behind their pursuit. Whether their language is earthly or as one from above, you can tell. But you, what language do you speak?
