DAY 13/366

Reference text: 1 Samuel 9:1-27,10:1
This story in its entirety contains a story with some very interesting things to note:
1. searching for missing animals is a task servants would have been charged with, but Kish made his son, Saul, and a servant the search party.
2. After searching four towns and making no headway, why would the servant suggest going to seek a prophet to find donkeys? and why did he already seem to have a gift ready for the consultation?
3. Why had Samuel come to town on that particular day l and at that hour to sacrifice?
The one verse that appears to address these questions is found in 1 Samuel 9:17 “And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.”
In other words, while Saul thought He was looking for donkeys, the entire situation was nothing more than a man following a blueprint that God had written, and everything around him aligning to ensure that he followed it to the end.
You might have your own ideas but you can be assured that there is nothing coincidental or accidental about the things God does. It all culminates in your arrival at the destination spelt out in His script written for your life. Yours is to trust His plan, and respond positively to the the parts that’s require your actions.
