Luke 1:58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

In choosing people for the narrowest of our circles, many tend to look for people who will stay with them through the low seasons in their life “for indeed a friend in need, is a friend indeed”. However, today as we read the story of Elizabeth, we notice an interesting feature among her relatives ‘when they saw what God had done for her, they celebrated with her’.

Therefore, whether it is in the company of family or friends, you need to find yourself with people who are neither intimidated, enraged nor discouraged by your testimonies and good news. In fact, those people who sincerely rejoice with you, are a rare bunch of people whom you ought to keep close to heart. It will save you much heartache. And you have to become such a person yourself
